Stevensville Montana is located just south of Missoula, in Ravalli County. The community was named for Gen. Isaac Ingle Stevens, military commander of the Northwest Territory. Plus Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park are both within a half days drive. Plenty of wilderness even for the most avid outdoors person, or family!
While these same mountains tempt hikers in the summer they beckon to skiers in the winter. Cross country, telemark and alpine skiing are all popular here; as is snow boarding.
