Real Estate Libby Montana
Libby Montana is located in northwestern Montana, 72 miles south of the Canadian border, 89 miles northwest of Kalispell, Montana, and 35 miles east of the Idaho border. The Kootenai Indians inhabited this area for hundreds of years before the first white explorers and trappers arrived. White trappers and miners came to the area in the late 1800s seeking fur and gold in area streams.

Like many town in northwest Montana the railroad was a turning point for the town of Libby.
Today Libby offers over 2 million acres of public lands for outdoor recreation. The Kootenai National Forest has hundreds of miles of hiking trails and many scenic places to camp with wildflowers and huckleberries nearby.
